OUR STORY

Our History

Milwich is a small village about four miles east of Stone in the county of Staffordshire.

In the village, there is a pub, church, village hall and some very interesting buildings. There are plenty of walks in the surrounding area, and booklets detailing these are available from behind the bar at £4.00 a book.

All the food is freshly prepared, so your patience will be rewarded. If you have any special requests please let them be known when ordering you food.

We offer a selection quality wines, details of which can be found on our wine list.

We also offer a selection of cask conditioned ales and scrumpy details to be found on the black board near the bar.

The Green Man has been awarded CAMRA Pub of the Month on 5 occasions during our stay here and ‘Rural Pub of the Year’ 2015, 2016 and 2017 also ‘Heart of Staffordshire Pub of the Year’ for 2006, 2007 and 2016. In 2025 we received our long service award celebrating 35 years at The Green Man

OUR HOUSE ALES

These are our house favourites that are on at all times

Wye Valley Pyoneer

Brewed using Maris Otter and Crystal malts together with locally grown Target and Goldings hops, Pyoneer has a delicate hoppy aroma leading on to a full malty flavour and ending in a crisp, clean bitter finish.

DRAUGHT BASS

A Caramel Malt with sweet opening and fruity texture

ABV 4.4%

Hawkstone Larger

The original Hawkstone Lager. Bold, yet balanced, with a smooth body and top notes of light citrus complemented by a subtle, crisp bitterness and malty backbone. Setting the standard for a British Premium Lager.

Menu's available from the bar. Opening hours are subject to change without prior warning so booking is strongly advised. If any allergies please tell a member of staff and they will advise you the best they can. Last orders for food is around 15 minutes before closing time so please give us plenty of time to make your food as all food served is homemade. Please don't hesitate to ask a member of staff!
